since 2000/2001, I have gone through from:
1. Normal fansite. As in website with proper domain and all
2. Forum-based. I actually like those era. Quite similar to how fans are interacting in Twitter but it was in forum-based.
3. Old-school chatting of IRC/ICQ/MSN etc. There are also a time where I did randomly chat with some peeps from there. IRC for instance, did have some group or something which I can find who likes Arashi and stuff. I don't really remember exact details how I found these random Arashi fans out there but yes, I did found them and it was up to the point of exchanging phone numbers coz the fan is selling her unwanted Arashi merchandise ^^" and we exchange random talks about private life.
4. Weibo? I can't remember if it's Weibo or there's another Chinese-based platform that is similar to Weibo at the time. It was very easy to get "things" from there before it vanished or probably coz they implemented user registration or something.
5. LJ. I was a loooooooooooooong time LJ-lurker. At the time most account/community were public-based thus I don't find the need to create a proper LJ account. It was not until 2010 that I started to register for one since most community were adapting to rules thanks to not-so-considerate fellow Earthlings abusing another fellow Earthlings kindness.
6. FB. I didn't invest much time fangirling in FB. But there are groups that I've joined back then, nothing exciting. These days there are fb group/page that I think is nice but still, I didn't invest much time for them.
7. Tumblr. One word: GIF revolution started from here. GIF set with translation and some other nice stuff. I actually like Tumblr. Made good random chat with fellow fans/non-fan aka strangers. But the thing with Tumblr, I cannot keep up if I leave it for too long. Plus, yes, one gotta mentioned the "confession" stuff thing. That was a turn off. haha.
8. Google+. Try Google+, something similar to FB. Nothing exciting or rather I didn't invest much time there.
9. Twitter. I did open an account the same time I did open my fb account but I kinda just leave it not until last year. So basically it took me yearsss (6+ years maybe?) until I found my "calling" lol. Twitter is fun. Instant update of Arashi stuff which I like. I didn't interact much with fellow Earthlings though. If I feel like it, I'll just randomly reply to someone. Otherwise, being the same 'ol same 'ol lurker I was yearss ago til now. :B
I might failed to name some other platform but anyway those were among the memorable and now
10. DW. Open it for obvious reason - LJ's issue. Been delaying it - to open DW's account for some time now, but looks like I can't delay this anymore.
Anything for Arashi.
I'll change to any platform!
//random//
This post will be looking ugly because I don't really edit or do anything "proper" yet (nor do I will check my grammar). Just feel the need to have one "Hello DW, I'm using you from now on I guess" post. = . ="
